Abstract The ?eld of green supply chain management is rapidly growing and
maturing. Signi?cant room still exists for development in the ?eld including those
identi?ed in this book in the context of green logistics and transportation. In this
chapter we brie?y review some of the important directions for future research three areas of (1) green logistics network development, (2) green land transportation,
and (3) green air and water transportation.
