Motion if the vessel near the Crane Barge (snatching) is one of the
activities performed by ships offshore oil drilling offshore in the location. This work
is often done, but it is not easy to do, because in addition have to have special skills,
if the person who did this movement should also understand vessel controlled
character and know the circumstances surrounding the weather, because if it does
not understand that it will pose no danger to the ship, Crane Barge and the
surrounding environment. From the above matters raised Author formulation of the
problem that will be discussed in this thesis is as follows, how do I do if the motion
near the crane barge (snatching), as well as any constraints encountered when the
ship did Snatching in Crane Barge COSL 222.
In writing this essay, the author describes the theory of the
implementation of the navigation near Crane Barge (snatching) used in the
preparation of reports and research as a basis for solving the existing problems. The
method used in this study is a qualitative method that generates the data descriptive
form of the written word from the people and observed behavior. In this case the
approach to collect data in the form of objects through observation, interviews
directly to the subject matter and use of documents and data related to the navigation
near the rig.
From the formulation of the problem that there are authors concluded
that the factors that are very important in the processing vessel motion when
snatching, man, vessel shape, type and power of the main engine, the type and the
type of propeller, rudder type and leaf type, sea state and state waters. In addition
to the above factors it is very important that the ability and experience in working
out the motion so that when the implementation will run smoothly.
