Training di PT.Samudera Indonesia Ship Management bertujuan membekali
materi dan meningkatkan pengetahuan awak kapal saat bekerja di atas kapal. Dari
beberapa materi yang disampaikan, Communication Skill and Healthy Life
Onboard memberikan pre test dan post test kepada peserta sedangkan materi lain
tidak diberikan. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui penyebab pre test dan post test
tidak diberikan kepada peserta training dan faktor pendukung perlu dilaksanakan
pre test dan post test.
Metode yang dipakai deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan secara
terperinci implementasi pre test dan post test pada training awak kapal. Data
diperoleh dengan observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi saat
kegiatan training.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pre test dan post test tidak diberikan kepada
peserta karena belum ada ketentuan dan tergantung dari fasilitator. Faktor
pendorong perlunya dilaksanakan pre test dan post test yaitu dari kinerja awak
kapal saat onboard setelah mengikuti training, hasil pre test dan post test materi
Communication Skill and Healthy Life Onboard dan penilaian peserta terhadap
fasilitator dan fasilitas training. Saran yang diberikan yaitu perlunya evaluasi untuk
mempertimbangkan pemberian pre test dan post test, membuat regulasi yang jelas
mengenai pelaksanaan pre test dan post test, serta memberikan penghargaan bagi
peserta yang memiliki nilai terbaik saat kegiatan training.

Training at PT. Samudera Indonesia Ship Management aims to provide
participants with some materials to be delivered in order to improve the knowledge
while working on board. Among the material presented, Communication Skill and
Healthy Life Onboard provide pre test and post test to the participants while the
other material has not been implemented pre test and post test. The problem in this
thesis is why the pre test and post test is not given to the trainees and what are the
factors that support the need to be implemented pre test and post test.
The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive. Tthis method
data obtained by observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation
during the training activities..
The results of this study showed that the pre test and post test was not given
to the participants because there was no provision and depends on the facilitator.
The driving factor need to be given pre test and post test that is from crew
performance when onboard after attending training, the results of pre test and post
test material Communication Skill and Healthy Life Onboard and assessment
participants to the facilitator and training facilities. Advice given by researchers is
the need for evaluation to consider the provision of pre test and post test, make
clear regulation on the implementation of pre test and post test, and give
appreciation for participants who have the best value during the training activities.
