Hydrophore Tank adalah tanki air tawar bertekanan yang berfungsi untuk
mensuplai air tawar ke akomodasi guna memenuhi kebutuhan air tawar bagi crew
kapal. Tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah 1)menganalisa kerusakan pada mechanichal
seal feed water pump hydrophore tank, 2)menganalisa bocornya packing pada
sambungan pipa hydrophore tank, 3)menganalisa kerusakan pada spring atau
pegas delivery valve. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan adalah metode
fishbone analysis, dimana fishbone analysis digunakan untuk menganalisa dari
permasalahan, dan digunakan untuk pembahasan dan menentukan upaya
permasalahan.
Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penyebab
ketidak normalan kerja hydrophore tank terhadap supply air tawar ke akomodasi
adalah feed water pump tidak bekerja dengan normal, mengalami masalah pada
tidak kedapnya packing dan mengalami masalah pada delivery valve.
Cara mengatasi permasalahan di atas adalah melakukan menggantian
komponen yang rusak dengan yang baru dan sesuai dengan manual book,
melakukan pengecekan dan perawatan secara periodik/berkala terhadap
komponen dan system dari hydrophore tank agar sistem hydrophore tank dapat
berjalan dengan baik dan normal kembali.

Hydrophore Tank is a pressurized freshwater tank that serves to supply fresh
water to accommodation to meet the freshwater needs of the crew. The water in
the tank is flowed into a building distribution. The pump works automatically
which is regulated by a pressure detector, which closes / opens the switch of the
pump motor electric motor. The pump stops working if the tank pressure has
reached a specified minimum limit. In this system compressed air will press water
into the distribution system and after repeatedly expanding and compressing over
time it will decrease, because it dissolves in water or gets carried out of the tank.
The tank press system is usually designed so that the air volume of no more than
30% of the tank volume is 70% the volume of the tank containing water.
The purpose of this paper is 1) to analyze the abnormalities of hydrophore
tank work, 2) to analyze the effects of hydrophore tank abnormalities, 3) efforts
made so that the work of hydrophore tanks can be normal again. The research
method that I use is the method of fishbone analysis , where fishbone analysis is
used to analyze problems, and used to discuss and determine the problem effort.
The results obtained from this study indicate that the cause of the normal working
hydrophore tank for freshwater supply to the accommodation is that the feed
water pump does not work normally, has problems with the impermeability of
packing and has problems with the delivery valve.
The way to overcome the above problems is to replace the damaged
components with new ones and in accordance with the manual book, periodically
check and maintain the components and systems of the hydrophore tanks so that
the hydrophore tank system can run properly and normally again.
