Kompresor mesin pendingin adalah salah satu permesinan di kapal yang
membantu berjalannya proses pendinginan bahan makanan. kompresor di dalam
sistem mesin pendingin bahan makanan berfungsi untuk menghisap zat refrigerant
dari sisi tekanan rendah dan menekannya menuju sisi tekanan tinggi. Kompresor
merupakan jantung dari mesin pendingin bahan makanan. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk
mengoptimalkan perawatan terhadap kompresor mesin pendingin untuk
mempertahankan kualitas bahan makanan di MV. Karunia.
Mengingat pentingnya fungsi dari kompresor, maka kompresor mesin
pendigin tersebut harus dirawat dan dipelihara dengan baik dan untuk lebih baik
dalam pemeliharaan atau perawatan dalam karya tulis ini. Dalam menentukan
prioritas masalah untuk diselesaikan, penulis menggunakan suat alat pendekatan
yaitu metode gabungan Fishbone dan Shel. Dimana metode ini adalah untuk mencari
sebab dan akibat dalam pengoperasian di sebuah sistem. Selain itu juga digunakan
untuk upaya apa saja yang harus dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut.
Pada bagian akhir skripsi ini dapat disimpulkan salahsatu faktor yang
mempengaruhi kurang optimalnya kinerja Kompresor disebabkan oleh kurangnya
pelaksanaan perawatan sesuai Plan Maintenance System. Dengan kurang
melaksanakan prosedur tersebut maka akan menyebabkan kinerja kompresor yang
tidak maksimal. Saran untuk memecahkan masalah ini adalah melaksanakan
perawatan dan perbaikan berkala terhadap kompresor mesin pendingin.

Refrigerator Compressor is one of the machineries on the ship that helps the
cooling process of food. the compressor in the food engine cooling system functions
to suck the refrigerant from the low pressure side and push it towards the high
pressure side. The compressor is the heart of the food cooler. This thesis aims to
optimize the maintenance of the refrigeration compressor to maintain the quality of
food ingredients in MV. Karunia.
Considering the important function of the compressor, the engine compressor
must be properly cared for and cared for and better in the maintenance or care in this
paper. In determining the priority of the problem to be solved, the writer uses an
approach tool that is the combined method of Fishbone and Shel. Where this method
is to look for cause and effect in operating in a system. It is also used for whatever
efforts must be made to overcome the problem.
At the end of this thesis, it can be concluded that one of the factors that
affects the compressor performance is not optimal due to the lack of maintenance
according to the Plan Maintenance System. By not carrying out these procedures, it
will cause a compressor performance that is not optimal. The suggestion to solve this
problem is to carry out regular maintenance and repairs to the refrigeration
compressor.
