Auto filter backwash lubricating oil adalah filter otomatis yang menyaring
minyak lumas dari kotoran dan zat lain yang terkandung di dalamnya seperti pasir,
air dengan memanfaatkan udara bertekanan dalam proses pembilasannya. Pada
saat kapal berlayar dari Batam menuju Padang alarm pada auto filter berbunyi
terus menerus karena gagalnya dalam pembilasan minyak kotor, dengan
menurunnya kerja auto filter backwash lubricating oil dapat mengganggu
operasional mesin induk. Tujuan diadakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk
mengetahui faktor mempengaruhi, dampak yang terjadi , dan upaya untuk
mengatasi menurunnya kerja auto filter backwash lubricating oil.
Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah Shel dan Urgency,
Seriousness, Growth (USG). Dengan mengambil faktor-faktor penyebab dan
resiko bahaya dan cara mengatasi terhadap obyek yang diteliti. Maka langkah
selanjutnya akan dilakukan pembahasan terhadap permasalahan yang telah
digambarkan pada teori SHEL Dengan menggunakan metode USG. Dengan
melakukan peninjauan dan melakukan perbandingan dengan teori yang ada serta
prosedur yang tepat.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi
menurunnya kerja auto filter adalah tidak optimalnya sistem pneumatik saat
proses pembilasan balik, kualitas dari minyak lumas, tidak dilaksanakannya
prosedur perawatan berencana Dampak yang terjadi terhambatnya aliran minyak
lumas ke mesin induk, menggangu pelayaran, tidak terjadinya pembilasan balik.
Upaya mengatasi menurunnya kerja auto filter backwash lubricating oil adalah
dengan mengoptimalkan sistem pneumatik, melakukan prosedur perawatan
berencana, meningkatkan kualitas minyak lumas.

Auto filter backwash lubricating oil is an automatic filter that filters oil
from dirt and other substances contained in it such as sand, water by using
compressed air in the rinsing process. When the ship sailed from Batam to Padang
the alarm on the auto filter went off continuously due to failure in dirty oil rinsing,
with the decline of the work of the backwash lubricating oil auto filter could
disrupt the operation of the main engine. The purpose of this research is to find
out the influenced factors, the impacts that occur, and efforts to overcome the
decreasing work of auto filter backwash lubricating oil.
The method conducted by the author is Shel and Urgency, Seriousness,
Growth (USG). By taking the causes and risks of danger and how to overcome the
object under study. Then the next step will be discussed on the problems that have
been described in the theory of SHEL using the USG method. By conducting a
review and making comparisons with existing theories and appropriate
procedures.
The results showed that the factors of affected the decline in auto filter
work were the non-optimal pneumatic system during the rinsing process, the
quality of lubricating oil, the failure of planned maintenance procedures. Efforts
to overcome the decline in the work of backwash lubricating oil auto filters is to
optimize the pneumatic system, carry out maintenance planning procedures,
improve the quality of lubricating oil.
