Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab menurunnya
kerja incinerator dan untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan dengan tidak
optimalnya kerja incinerator serta tindakan yang perlu dilakukan agar incinerator
berjalan normal.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti dalam menyampaikan masalah
adalah metode dengan menghasilkan data kuantitaif untuk menggambarkan dan
menguraikan objek yang diteliti, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan
hasil kuisioner kepada crew mesin di kapal, metode analisis yang digunakan
adalah analisis prioritas masalah USG.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari berbagai faktor yang
menyebabkan menurunnya pesawat incinerator diperoleh faktor masalah yang
sangat berpengaruh adalah tersumbatnya burner oleh carbon bekas dari hasil
pembakaran, electroda burner tidak dapat memercikkan api, Planned
Maintenance System (PMS), dan kurangnya komunikasi antar crew. Faktor
masalah tersebut akan menimbulkan beberapa dampak yang berpengaruh terhadap
menurunnya kerja incinerator yaitu suhu pembakaran rendah yang akan
mengakibatkan panas yang diinginkan tidak tercapai, hasil pembakaran menurun,
opersional kapal akan terganggu. Untuk menanggulanginya menurunnya kerja
pesawat incinerator maka harus melaksanakan pengoperasian dan perawatan
pesawat incinerator sesuai dengan prosedur.

The purpose of this research is to find out the cause of the decrease in
incinerator work and to determine the impact caused by not optimal incinerator
work and actions that need to be taken so that the incinerator runs normally.
The research method used by the researcher in conveying the problem is a
method by generating quantitative data to describe and describe the object under
study, with the technique of collecting data based on questionnaire results to the
crew of the engine on board, the analytical method used is priority analysis of
USG problems.
The results showed that from the various factors that caused the decrease in
incinerator aircraft, the most influential problem factor was the clogging of
burners by used carbon from combustion, the electrode burner could not sprinkle
fire, Planned Maintenance System (PMS), and lack of communication between
crew. Then from the problem factors will cause some effects that affect the
decrease in the work of the incinerator, which is a low combustion temperature
which will result in the desired heat not being reached, the combustion results
decrease, the operational vessel will be disrupted. So to overcome the decreasing
work of the incinerator aircraft, it must carry out the operation and maintenance of
the incinerator aircraft according to the procedure.
