Chemical tanker is one of tanker vessel that is specially formed to carry
dangerous good which is chemical. Remembering those goods have different
characteristic that has the potetial to lead danger of the vessel, passenger, or also the
environment around. Chemical tanker is a vessel that is built with the main goal that
to carry (noxious liquid substances) bulkly.
Methods that is used by researcher to solve the problem is qualitative method,
so that the researcher can state the result from the research that is achieved.
Collecting data by documentation, observation, and interview. Researcher observe
directly on MT. Celosia, researcher interview with the captain and all the crew. The
researcher also take the picture to support the data research.
According to the result that is conducted on MT. celosia, there are problems
are the tank cleaning that is failed by surveyor caused by the highness of chloride and
hydrocarbon in the tank, those substances lead contamination to the sensitive goods
that will be loaded. The tank cleaning on MT. Celosia conduct not as procedure,
which decreasement of time in the conduction and no process of steaming because pf
the not completed facility, also spray destailed water that is not spreaded, where those
things are one of factor that is determine the composition of chloride and hydrocarbon
in the tank after cleaning.
From the result, we can conclude that the highness of chloride and hydrocarbon in
the tank caused by tank cleaning process that’s conducted not as procedure
