The stern ramp door lock is one tool whose role is very important for Ro-Ro
ships. The ramp door locking lock has a simple work system, but if there is damage to
the stern ramp door lock, the impact is very large. On MV. Dream Diamond
happened to damage the stern ramp door lock which resulted in the opening of the
ramp ramp door. To find the factors causing damage to the stern ramp door lock,
researchers used the fishbone method and to determine the priority problems of
researchers using USG (Urgency, Seriously and Growth).
The results of the study showed that the cause of damage to the MV stern
ramp lock. Dream Diamond is due to a lack of regular maintenance, operations that
do not comply with procedures, no pre-operation checks, and low ambient
temperature temperatures. With priority issues that are not checked before operation.
Check before operating the stern ramp lock to find out if damage can be handled
immediately and the damage does not get worse. As well as providing education
about the operation of the stern ramp lock must also be done to all crew, especially

procedure
