The vessel is one of the most efficient, sophisticated transportation means of the ship is also designed so that it can meet the needs of the desired. The role of the ship is needed in the export of import goods from one country to another as well as the inter-island population mobility, in supporting the operational activities of the vessel in need of machining as well as the condition of the ship good and feasible roads this greatly affects the smooth operation of the vessel and the achievement of shipping orders. Research method that writer use in preparation of this thesis is descriptive qualitaf research method. In this case the writer use the SWOT method as a data analysis technique to analyze what factors cause the decrease of boiler water quality and what efforts are done to overcome these factors by identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats from the environment systematically to formulate the strategy to be taken. Based on the observations made by the authors, it can be concluded that the impact of leakage FO double bottom tanks on the operation of the ship by two factors, namely 1) Occurrence Aground 2) The Inspection Made The Ship Delay To overcome these factors can be done with the closure of cracks in the tank, routine draining, and routine tank observation, the addition of cement and cast on the leaking FO tank cracks.
