On the ship there are generally rubbish and waste that can be dumped
directly in the sea, must be disposed of at the port facility or can be burned, so as
to prevent pollution contained in ANNEX I to ANNEX VI, Incinerator is one of
them to reduce the amount of waste on the ship that serves to reduce the number
of waste oil contained in the vessel. In writing this thesis author has some
problem formulation is the purpose of writing is: Is the cause of the blockage of
the burner, How would you rate the level of risk by using HAZOP method.
In order for a component failure or damage can be prevented and the
treatment can be done better then in this paper, the authors use the approach
HAZOP method. HAZOP method used in analyzing the hazards and risks present
in a system. HAZOP method can be defined as a system and form of assessment of
a design or a process with the goal of identifying and evaluating the disruption
that happens to people as well as the components in the system. From the
research results obtained using the HAZOP method comparison of the risk level
of each component. Then the maintenance and repair of all components need to
be considered, it can be done by following the treatment planning system
contained in any vessel which has been determined by the company based on
company policy, instruction book and makers.
In the conclusions and suggestions were given on the importance of
holding regular maintenance and inspection of all parts of the risk so that the
incinerator is burning on the perfect back once mengepress amount of waste oil
on board, so the company does not need additional costs to dispose of waste oil in
port facilities provided.
