The FSO is a vessel that is used solely for storing oil. The FSO is a portable offshore drilling and or storage building, in the sense that it can be mobile. The results contained in the FSO are crude oil and gas. Oil produced from offshore production platforms can be transported to the mainland through pipelines or ships.
After making observations researcher to know how to attempt to convert a tanker into a more optimal, through direct observation at PT. Pertamina Shipping. In this thesis the researcher uses qualitative research methods that produce descriptive data in the form of written words from people and observed behavior by collecting data in the form of approach to the object through observation, interview directly to the subject and using documents and data related to the management effort Conversion of tanker.
Based on the discussion that has been put forward in the previous chapters, this chapter will present conclusions that can be drawn on the management efforts of converting tankers. The result shows that the greatest efficiency when the ship was converted into FSO MT. Gebang with a total accumulation efficiency of over 11 years amounted to Rp 233,841,833,275, both MT. Gunung Kemala Rp. 189,304,575,910, and the last one is MT Cendrawasih Rp. 115,153,267,042. The third figure is the total efficiency of the vessel for 11 years is Rp. 538,299,676,228. In the initial year cost overruns occur as a result of the conversion of the three vessels, namely: MT. Gebang Rp - 29,458,580,565, MT. Gunung Kemala, Rp. - 31,988,064,969 and MT. Cendrawasih Rp. - 7,510,412,025. The total number of the three ships is Rp. - 88,957,057,560. BEP operating cost efficiencies gained in year 3, namely: MT. Gebang, Rp. 23,837,095,725, MT. Gunung Kemala, Rp. 12,651,071,328 and MT. Cendrawasih, Rp. 1,406,971,858. In total in the 3rd year is Rp. 37,895,138,912.
