Loading and unloading activities must run on time in accordance with the
predicted schedule, then in carrying out the loading and unloading equipment is one
important factor for the loading process to run smoothly. Based on these facts the
authors are interested to make a thesis with the title "Management Maintenance and
Repairing Tools Loading on ships MV. Keoyang Noble ". Problems that the author
lift that is: the management of maintenance and repair of loading and unloading
equipment on the ship MV. Keoyang Noble, how the Standard Operating Procedure,
whether there are differences and constraints of both, and what efforts are made to
overcome them. If in such a difference becomes a problem then the need for
evaluation that must be followed up. And if there are any obstacles or constraints it
must be sought solutions to overcome these problems. In this thesis, the research
method used is the method of USG (Urgency Seriousness, and Growth) which is
observative by observing the existing activities and methods of interviews are
conducting interviews directly to the crew on the loading and unloading equipment as
well as maintenance.
Based on the analysis that has been done, that the management of loading and
unloading equipment on the ship implement preventive maintenance and maintenance
breakdown, while the Standard Operating Procedure implementation such as Manual
Instruction Book is periodic maintenance. Obstacles experienced in this
implementation is the insecurity that still happens. So researchers try to make efforts
in overcoming these obstacles and make some efforts related to maintenance
management and repair of loading and unloading tools.
From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the management of
maintenance and repair of loading and unloading equipment needs to be planned. The
planned care method is carried out properly and regularly in accordance with the
programmed schedule, so that damage to the loading and unloading equipment can be
avoided and the loading and unloading equipment is ready for use.
